BIG MONEY ROLLS TO THE TOP IN NASCAR

That long-awaited Forbes magazine list of top-earning drivers is out, and there are very few surprises on it.

In other words, big dogs gotta eat, and you might as well have filet mignon if you can afford it.

The top dogs on the list, as compiled by Forbes, are what you would expect. 

Dale Earnhardt Jr. tops the list at $25.6 million, combined salary, winnings and endorsements. Jimmie Johnson ($24.8 million) and Jeff Gordon ($18.2 million) give Hendrick Motorsports the top three.

Tony Stewart ($17.3 million) is fourth, followed by Kyle Busch ($15.8 million), Carl Edwards ($14.5 million), Kevin Harvick ($14.2 million), Denny Hamlin ($13.7 million), Danica Patrick ($13.5 million) and Kasey Kahne ($12.6 million).

Funny thing is, that's about how the merchandise splits break down among the top NASCAR drivers too.
