BLOG: Lady Treats Rookies Like...Rookies

DARLINGTON, S.C. -- Well, it didn't take long for The Lady in Black to show Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon that she is not to be trifled with on Friday.

Both drivers, prime candidates for the Rookie of the Year trophy, made contact with the ever-so-close concrete walls at Darlington, with Larson being forced to a backup car and Dillon having to fix his Chevrolet before qualifying.

Kevin Harvick won the first practice, and Jeff Gordon leads the second here with about 30 minutes left.

It's bright and sunny and hot...and the chane of rain is a measly 10 percent tonight and tomorrow.
