BLOG: LeBron? What Car Does He Drive?

Expecting to see updates on the doings at New Hampshire, I clicked on the TV and found...24/7 updates on LeBron James.

Of course, I know who that is. He's an NBA superstar from Ohio. Duh.

But what I want to know is, why is he all over my TV screen when the NBA season is over and it's during the Race to the Chase? 

I know...I know. ESPN (or as one local radio host here in Charlotte always referred to the World-Wide Leader, HYPE) is in the tank for the NBA. Why? Because they televise NBA games. After this year, however, they're out of the NASCAR biz.

Sigh.

Daytona winner Aric Almirola, a Florida native, was asked if he had any opinion on the whole LBJ saga, him leaving Miami for the wilds of Ohio.

"I have no reaction for that," he said. "Wherever that guy wants to take his talents he can take it. I am not a huge basketball fan. I like college basketball a lot more. College basketball seems a lot more like a team sport and the NBA seems a lot more like and individual sport.”
