BLOG: Same Old Song

After Jimmie Johnson laid a Texas-sized whipping on the field at Texas, he set up a situation eerily similar to last year. He left Texas with the lead, but failed to win the title.
He crashed hard at PIR, all but handing the title to Brad Keselowski.
Will it be different this year? Will he seal the deal at PIR and coast at Homestead? Or will he have trouble at Phoenix, let Kenseth get back in the race and make Homestead must-see TV?
We’ll not find out until Phoenix is in the books, but if you’re going on numbers, you have to bet on the 48.
Johnson’s average finish at PIR is something like 6.4, which is just sick. Kenseth’s is not in the same neighborhood. But Kenseth hadn’t hit a lick at New Hampshire either, and he won there, so you never know.
That begs the question: who will win the title at Homestead?
Which begs another question: who do you WANT to see win the title?
