Federated Auto Parts 400 2013: Start Time, Lineup, TV Schedule and More

The Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway marks the final race before the Chase for the Sprint Cup, which means you can expect some desperate performances by drivers on the bubble.
Last year's winner Clint Bowyer is currently in second place in the standings, and a victory on Saturday night in Richmond would give him some excellent momentum heading into the Chase.
Brad Keselowski, who needs a top finish to get into the Chase, was looking good in practice on Thursday, posting the fastest time, as noted by NASCAR Stats:

Martin Truex Jr. put together an impressive performance last week to give himself a chance of sneaking into the Chase with the second wild-card spot.
Despite the fact that the cast protecting his broken wrist melted during the AdvoCare 500, Truex Jr. finished in third place and currently sits in 13th place in the standings. He'll need another top finish on Saturday to earn a spot in the Chase.

There isn't much room separating the men in the top 12 from the drivers trying to work their way into it.
As such, you can be sure the men on the outside looking in will be driving at breakneck speeds, throwing caution to the wind in an attempt to make the Chase.
The top drivers in the standings have found success at Richmond in recent years. Jimmie Johnson won this event two years in a row from 2007-08, and he'll be extra pumped for the race after his wife Chandra gave birth to their daughter on Thursday morning, as noted by NASCAR:
Clint Bowyer won it last year, and Denny Hamlin, who currently sits at No. 26 in the standings, also won it two years in a row from 2009-10.
After winning a thrilling race last weekend, Kyle Busch secured a spot in the Chase, but his brother Kurt still has some work to do this week to join him. A strong finish at Atlanta bumped him up into the 10 spot, but he can't rest on his laurels.
With a sixth-place finish last weekend, Joey Logano moved up two spots to No. 8. He's been running hot this year at times and appears to be getting hot once again for the Chase.
Saturday's race will be full of excitement. With so much on the line, you can be sure a few feathers will be ruffled before the checkered flag is waved for the winner. For many drivers, this is their last chance to make it to the biggest events of the season.
