He's Baaaack!

NASCAR announced Thursday that it has reinstated Ty Norris, an executive with Michael Waltrip Racing. Norris had been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR last Sept. 9 as part of the penalties assessed to MWR following the sanctioning body’s review of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Sept. 7 at Richmond International Raceway. Norris remains on indefinite NASCAR probation.

“I appreciate NASCAR’s action today and respect their position," Norris said. I am focused forward and dedicated to the success of Michael Waltrip Racing and the continued growth of a sport that has been my home for the past 24 years.”

Norris was also one of the original employees at the Official NASCAR Members Club, and the late Dale Earnhardt's trusted lieutenant at the time of his death.
