Holding the Bag...

On the weekend that his NASCAR dreams were realized, car owner Gene Haas bought two beach-front homes for $12.4 million.

Or did he?

According to some folks in Miami, the Fox brothers, they said that Haas won the bidding in an auction, then didn't come through with the cash. So the brothers, according to The Miami Herald, sued him for the cash.

It sounds like one of those things that happens when you send a proxy to do your bidding for you. Haas had just finished watching Tony Stewart win the NASCAR title in the most improbable way, and decided to buy not one but two luxury beachfront homes.

We'll see how this plays out. There's been no comment by anyone other than the petitioners, but we'll see if we can find our way to the bottom of it for you!
