Jeff Gordon’s Farewell Tour … Going Away Presents

It’s not unheard of that someone retiring receives presents during their last year, and Jeff Gordon’s final season is no different.

Some of the notable presents that he has received from the Tracks on the circuit were:

• Atlanta Motor Speedway:  A Red No. 24 Bandolero Car. Since Bandeleros are typically geared toward younger racers Atlanta painted the names of Gordon’s children on the door frame.
• Las Vegas Motor Speedway: A custom blackjack table lined with images of him at the track over the years and No. 24s featured throughout.
• Auto Club Speedway:  In honor of winning the inaugural Sprint Cup race at the facility in 1997, Gordon was gifted a Helmet.
• Sonoma Raceway: An 18-Liter Wine Bottle, highlighting his amazing career at the road course.
• Kentucky Speedway: Four Roses, Jim Beam, Michter’s and Wild Turkey each gave Jeff Gordon 24 bottles of bourbon, each bottle featuring a special one-of-a-kind autographed label. Glassware, barware, and other gifts were also included.
• Pocono Raceway: Track President presented Jeff with a $24,000 check for the Jeff Gordon Foundation.
• Michigan International Speedway: Speedway President presented Jeff with Four Nights at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
• Bristol Motor Speedway: The track will rename its backstretch grandstand the Jeff Gordon Terrace in 2016.
• Dover International Speedway: 90 “Miles the Monster” trophies.  The trophies are for each team member of the No. 5/24 shop and include each person’s name.
• Martinsville Speedway: A toy train in honor of his (then) 8 wins at the track.
• Kansas Speedway: Custom Pedal Car similar to the one he started his career in.
• Texas Motor Speedway: 2 Shetland Ponies, one for each of his children.
• Phoenix International Raceway:  The track was renamed to "Jeff Gordon Raceway" for race weekend.
