ONMC POWER 10: Homestead Edition

We've raced 35 weekends to get here, and now we're heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway to settle the 2014 season once and for all.

Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano and Ryan Newman are the four with a chance at the title, and they'll race for the big trophy Sunday afternoon.

Harvick was money at Phoenix, dominating the race to earn his way into the finals. Newman used Kyle Larson as a pinball on the final lap to drop Jeff Gordon out of the mix. Logano and Hamlin did what they needed to do to make it to Florida with a chance.

Carl Edwards, Gordon, Brad KEselowski and Matt Kenseth couldn't get to the final race.

1. Kevin Harvick: After the performance he had at Phoenix, it's little wonder he's the favorite going in. OF course, it's anybody's race this weekend, but you have to give Harvick props. Last week: 3

2. Denny Hamlin: Finishing in the top five, Hamlin goes to Homestead as the defending race winner. That's something to keep an eye on. Last week: 5

3. Joey Logano: Not as blindingly fast as he's been all year, JoLo still deserves respect as a title contender. Too many have counted him out too many times. Last week: 4

4. Ryan Newman: Mr. Consistent has teeth. He used up Kyle Larson to get the one spot he needed to make it to HMS, and I don't think anyone blames him for that. Last week: 6

5. Jeff Gordon: He couldn't catch Harvick, so he settled for second. Newman aced him by a single point. Them's the breaks. Last week: 2

6. Matt Kenseth: Too little, too late. He just didn't have the speed he needed to make it one more round. Last week: 7

7. Brad Keselowski: Karma caught him out. He couldn't deal with Harvick, so he did the best he could. Wasn't good enough. Last week: 9

8. Carl Edwards: No speed meant no chance at HMS. Edwards will make his last start for Roush Fenway this weekend, and has a good chance to spoil the party. Last week: 8

9. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: It's been a great season for Junior. He and Steve Letarte are going to give it hell for the final time as driver and crew chief. Should be fun to watch. Last week: not ranked

10. Kyle Busch: Caught up in another crash, Busch was a factor at PIR. He's not going to win it, but he can make it interesting. Last week: not ranked

Dropped out: Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch

Close But No Cigar: 

Kyle Larson, who was running near the top 10 all day before he acted as a buffer for Newman on the final corner. Kid might just win it Sunday night.
