ONMC POWER 10: New England Skull-Cracker Tops List

There are weeks where it's really simple to do the ONMC Power 10.

This week is one of those weeks. Brad Keselowski officially car-jacked the rest of the field last Sunday, making off with his third victory of the season and putting the rest of the paddock into a blue...er, red, funk.

How it works is simple: we tell you who the 10 best drivers are after each race this season, and you can agree, disagree or improve on them by commenting on the article itself. Remember, this is a family ranking, so keep that in mind.

1. Brad Keselowski: Led 138 laps, was not threatened at all--even by Morgan Shepherd--and just crushed it all day long. Key was fresh tires, not track position. He owned track position. Last week: 4

2. Jeff Gordon: Was fast enough to be in the mix for second, but ran out of gas on the final restart and finished 26th. Oh well...he's in already. Last week: 1

3. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Had to work really hard to finish 10th and seemed drained at the end. Wasn't too long ago he'd have been jumping up and down to run 10th. Last week: 2

4. Kyle Busch: Ran second. One of these days, that M&M's Toyota will rediscover the speed he had last year. When he does, he'll start putting up victories. Last week: 8

5. Joey Logano: The only car that seemed to be able to keep pace with BK, but JoLo was ambushed by the wicked-loose Morgan Shepherd and taken out. Shepherd snapped loose and collected JoLo while 16 laps down. Sigh. Last week: 7

6. Matt Kenseth: Ran fourth. One of these days, that Husky/Dollar General Toyota will rediscover the speed he had last year and he'll start winning. Last week: 5

7. Carl Edwards: Cuz just keeps putting the car in the top 15. With two victories, he's in the Chase. Now he has to find speed. Last week: 9

8. Ryan Newman: Robo-Driver is dialed in. Top-five again, rising in the points. Who needs a victory? Well, this guy, but really, he's golden. Last week: not ranked

9. Jimmie Johnson: Daytona at least had other people involved. This was a left-rear problem, whether tire or air pressure was at fault. That's 42 squared for Six-Time, as in back-to-back 42nd-place finishes. Last week: 3

10. Kyle Larson: Strong third-place run for KLar, after a few weeks of rookie-ness. The kid's learning as he goes, and he's learning fast. Last week: not ranked

Dropped out: Aric Almirola, Kevin Harvick

Close But No Cigar:

Harvick, who also ran out of gas at NHMS; Denny Hamlin, who had to pit for a splash and finished eighth; Tony Stewart was seventh at the end after wandering through the top 20 all day; and Clint Bowyer, who led and was fast, but faded to sixth at the finish.
