ONMC POWER 10 RETURNS: Guess Who Is On Top?

After a break for the All-Star Fan Experience and Memorial Day, the ONMC Power 10 rankings return just in time for summer!

After Jimmie Johnson laid waste to Charlotte and Dover, the NASCAR circus rolled into Pocono on pins and needles: let Six-Time roll over them and they're all battling for second. Enter Dale Earnhardt Jr. 

The first multi-victory season for Junior since his six-win 2004 season puts him on top of the Power 10 heading to Michigan...where he's won twice in the past several seasons.

How it works is simple: we tell you who the 10 best drivers are after each race this season, and you can agree, disagree or improve on them by commenting on the article itself. Sound good?

Let's go to the rankings, shall we?

1. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Victory over Brad Keselowski at Pocono might have been "trashy," but it was important for him and the sport. He's locked in, y'all.

2. Jimmie Johnson: Monster end of May didn't translate to Pocono, where he's hit or miss, but he's locked in too. Naturally. 

3. Jeff Gordon: Starting to see a theme here? That's Hendrick cars 1-2-3. Gordon retook the point lead and has a victory. 'Nuff said. 

4. Matt Kenseth: We're still waiting for a Kenseth breakthrough, but he's second in the points without a victory. He'll get one, and it could be this weekend.

5. Brad Keselowski: An attempt to clear his grille in the final laps took a sure victory from the 2012 champ, but he was pretty quick at Pocono. 

6. Kyle Larson: Doesn't have a victory, but he's 10th in points, and you can bet he'll be around the lead this weekend. Kid's a comer.

7. Carl Edwards: Rumors flying about his future, but he's been pretty good lately. Catching a piece of the Kyle Busch-Kasey Kahne mess didn't help him at Pocono. 

8. Joey Logano: Has cooled off of late, but still has two victories. That's enough.

9. Kevin Harvick: Has been sneaky fast (OK, freaky fast!) everywhere, but hasn't been able to seal the deal lately. He's in.

10. Denny Hamlin: Pocono is one of his best tracks, and he was competitive, but it didn't work out so well at the end. He's improving every week, though.

Close But No Cigar:

Kyle Busch (is fast, but has a tendency to catch--or cause--trouble.Ryan Newman (keeps finishing in the top 12 or so). Brain Vickers is getting consistent every week. Greg Biffle will be back with Roush, but has to step it up.
