Ultimate VIP Experience -- "Experience of a Lifetime"

Hard to believe that it’s already June, harder to believe that that the Coca-Cola 600 already passed, and hardest to believe that the NASCAR season is over one third of the way through. Not only was May 29, 2016, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the longest race of the year, but it was also home to the second Ultimate VIP Experience for two more lucky winners from the Official NASCAR Members Club.

The day, as a few weathermen predicted, according to some weather models, was supposed to be deemed a “washout”.  Mother nature cooperated, as she wanted a night race to happen! First on the itinerary for the Ultimate VIP Experience was pace car rides.  Due to the heavy rain in the morning, these were canceled. Mother nature clearly still wanted her presence known. As one winner said, “If this is all that is canceled today, I am okay with it.”

The winners, Marcie from Connecticut, and Jan from Georgia were given the elusive HOT Passes, that true NASCAR fans often “only dream about” one day having the ability to obtain. The winners and their guests took some time in the garage to watch the drivers and crews prep and place the finishing touches on their cars for the night’s race. The winners took advantage of the immediate proximity to their favorite drivers, crews, and cars with pictures and autographs.

The driver’s meeting for the Coca-Cola 600 is always a large one, in regards to attendees, honoring guests and families of the honored military during Memorial Day Weekend, and simple overall excitement and fervor surrounding the iconic race itself. Following the driver’s meeting, the winners joined the Official NASCAR Members Club Member’s on the track for Driver Introductions. With a prime spot for viewing, majority of the drivers were within an arm’s reach, as they made their way to the stage for introductions.  Everyone was truly in awe of being so close to the 40 drivers about to make a run for the trophy.

Following the drop of the green flag, the winners and guests enjoyed watching pit stops closer than they had ever imagined, getting video and pictures of the raw, exhilarating action up close.

What better way to put a close to the Ultimate VIP Experience than to join the winner in Victory Lane. In an historic, record-breaking performance, an emotional Martin Truex, Jr. took his truly dominating car to a well-deserved Victory Lane celebration, complete with a champagne shower. The emotion and pure joy from the 78 team was absolutely contagious for everyone.  

“I have to admit getting to see Truex in victory lane was emotional. If Kyle couldn't get the win I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Being so close to him and seeing that raw emotion was the best,” Jan B., Ultimate VIP Experience Winner and long time Kyle Busch fan, said.  

Marcie G., long time Kyle Busch fan, added, “Then when we thought it couldn’t get any better… it did.  Being in Victory Lane to celebrate what ended up being a record breaking win for Martin Truex, was beyond belief!   What an exciting moment for all of us!!”

Putting into words what the day had meant to them was not an easy thing but, it was clear that this was truly a “once in a lifetime experience” that we are confident they will NEVER forget.
